Quick and healthy Paneer Parantha for kids

Hello Everyone,

One of the most common problem with a toddler is to make him/her sit and finish the meal. Today I am going to share my experience. My toddler spits out the food every time he gets any hard food like any vegetables, or paneer. He is 4 buy still like the food to be mashed properly (baby food). Due to this habit he was not getting enough nutrition. I got so stressed and didn't how to make him eat healthy food. He doesn't like to drink milk either. His pediatric says - "No problem if he doesn't like milk, Give him paneer if he doesn't take milk." But the question is that how to make him eat paneer. I am sure most of you would have beeen in the similar situation. Since he has been in a habit of eating roti or parantha from the age of 7 months, he loves parantha or roti but not stuffed. So I had an idea and that idea gave birth to my Special Paneer Parantha recipe.

Ingredients:
  • Paneer(Better if made at home)
  • Wheat Flour
  • Salt
  • Ajwain(Carom Seeds)
  • Chat Masala(Can be excluded if you to make the paranthas very simple)
  • Water
  • Oil or Ghee
Recipe:

Normally, we make paneer parantha by stuffing paneer mixture in the parantha. Flatten it and cook     on tawa with oil. But today I am going to share a different recipe of making paneer parantha.

First of all, take a bowl and mix atta, salt, and ajwain together. Now add paneer to the mixture.           Gently pour water slowly to make the dough. Also add chat masala now. Keep on kneading till the   atta and paneer become inseparable. Grease your hand with oil so that the atta doesn't stick. Now make small balls out of it. Roll it with the help of rolling pin. Heat the tawa and cook on medium flame with oil/ghee. Serve it with butter or curd. Some children like it with ketchup or jam too.

Note: The whole idea behind this recipe is that in this type of paneer parantha, the child doesn't get to know that the parantha does have paneer stuffing. Smart way to make picky eaters eat paneer.
Give it a try and  share your views.

Happy Cooking!!
